ONLINE ORDERING TIPS1) The minimum order for a SLS truck to deliver w/ no freight is $500. If shipped motor freight the minimum is $1500.


2) Many items are priced each. If you want a full case, you need to input the case quantity (usually shown). If the item is only sold in a full case, (some are) it will only allow you to input multiples of the case quantity. Some awkward sized items also require full case orders for shipping purposes.


3) When placing the order:
     a) From the cart hit “Place Order” This will take you to the Notes screen.
     b) If you do not have any notes, returns or question just hit “place order” at the bottom of that screen.
     c) After the order is placed check to make sure that there are no comments in red. These would show you have an issue with an item and will not allow the order to go thru. You must correct those issues and place the order.
     d) You can also contact your sales rep or the office inside sales to add on if needed. You may need an item that is not yet on the website but we have it so a call or email may be needed. Many items allow a Back Ordered items to be added to the cart.
     e) You will receive an email after placing the order so if you do not get an email the order did not go through. You also receive an email listing any items purchased that are on B/O. Salesmen also receive an email stating you placed an order.
     f) You will still receive the yellow invoice with the order as well as an emailed invoice once the order is completed.


4) You can place additional orders on line if you need to add items or if you forgot something.


5) You have until noon the day before your truck arrives to add items. If you add later than that it may not make it on the truck the next day.


6) If you order out of your normal day and the order is large enough it will ship on Motor freight. If you order early and still want the delivery on your normal truck run day, please list that in the comments.


7) Please check the promotions on the web site to see if there are any items you may need.


8) There is also a truck schedule posted on the site. This is important when holiday affect the truck schedule. It is on the home page.

We now have the updated SLS Catalog posted on the web site. It may be easier for you to follow if you are not used to using a website.

SPECIAL ORDER INSTRUCTIONSOnline shopping is growing for all of us. There will be times when you need to let us know of a special order or shipping requests. The SLS Truck Route guide is right above this box if you have questions about when a truck is due in your area.

When you go to the  View Cart Area, you have time to survey your order and edit everything. After updating your list, you may select the Place Your Order Button.

This will send you to the final page where you have the chance to double check your email address, you will receive a notification email when your order is complete. There is no notification from us that we received the order.

There is a box on the top right for any notes you may have. Please let us know if there is something we should know before we load up for delivery. Many stores find this a very helpful tool.

QUANTITY RESTRICTIONThe sign below indicates products signified to be SOLD BY CASE. Items showing this banner are usueally billed by the each, but sold only by the case. This allows us to sell single priced goods as boxed goods. Snaps, vaccines, and many poultry items are examples. Some low cost items are included as well as items that have movable parts.

SHARE CART BUTTONSome stores work quite awhile building their carts for shipment. The last thing you want is to loose one. For security we have added the SHARE CART BUTTON. Insure against the chance of losing a cart with days of work involved. Please try it out. A simple way to keep your hard work safe. 

REMINDER – SLS does not automatically fill backordered items. We allow for the use of backorders on items that could be in stock by the time of shipment. This is a work in progress. Many items cannot be backordered. Please be aware of this.

Carts will not process these orders when inventory is at 0. You must remove them from the cart to process the order. If you like to work on a cart for days before ordering, please be aware of this. You will be warned if an item needs to be removed from the cart. 

VIEW YOUR CART – Right below the cart items is the SHARE CART BUTTON. Push the button and it generates a cart code. This code appears in a box. Just copy, and paste in any email and send this to whomever you like.  A great way to communicate with your salesmen too. No more lost carts.

MOTOR FREIGHT RULESWe love shipping goods by Motor Freight. Unfortunately, we are not there to check it in. 

Motor Freight Customers: Please understand that it is your responsibility to check all incoming freight. You MUST check any incoming freight and call us immediately with any claims of shortages or damages. No matter how slight the damage. When you do not do this in a timely manner, we are left holding the bag. The driver should give you an EXCEPTION Number at the time of delivery. Please note any exceptions within the shipment. We cannot claim for damages at a later date. 

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE – CHECK THE CONTENTS OF YOUR SHIPMENT – REPORT IMMEDIATELY ANY ISSUES – THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT – THIS RESPONSIBILITY IS YOURS AND CRITICAL.

WHAT ABOUT BACK-ORDERSNOTICE: SLS DOES NOT FILL BACKORDERS – You will notice that some items sold online will allow you to order them, even though we are out of stock on that particular item. Back-ordered products receive an email notice. Hopefully, by the time your order is pulled, the back-ordered item will be in stock and fulfilled. Remember, SLS does not fill back-orders. You must re-order your product if it is backordered.
